Duplicating a tournament is a quick and easy way to reuse an existing tournament setup for a new event. Instead of creating a tournament from scratch, you can copy the structure, settings and, if desired, the participating teams. This is especially useful for recurring tournaments, annual events or competitions that follow the same format each year.
How to duplicate a tournament
To create a copy of an existing tournament:
Go to the overview of all your tournaments
Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the tournament you want to duplicate
Choose whether you want to include the participating teams in the copy
Select Copy tournament (with teams) or Copy tournament (without teams)
Confirm your selection
A new tournament will be created that you can edit independently from the original.
What is duplicated, exactly?
When duplicating a tournament, Tournify copies the tournament configuration and allows you to choose whether to include the participating teams. The duplicated tournament is completely separate from the original, meaning any changes you make will only affect the new tournament.
Any upgrade applied to the original tournament does not transfer to the duplicated tournament If you want to use premium features in the duplicated tournament, it will require its own upgrade.
